Week of Feb. 8, 2021
Word Work: Our class will be learning about the /oo/ syllable pattern for the next two weeks. Our syllable pattern makes the sound as in blue, moon, youth. Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns. Spelling City is ready for students to access the practice list for the week.
Valentine’s Day Notice From Mr. Hubble: February 14 is quickly approaching and of course, things this year will be a little different. It just so happens that the 14th is on a Sunday this year and students do not have school on Friday the 12th or on Monday the 15th. So, hold off on the candy and packaged Valentines, here is the plan...
During the week of February 8 - 11, our Positivity Project (P2) activities will be focused on "Love." Love means that you value close relationships with others and being close to people. The character strength of love represents the way we think, feel, and behave towards the people with whom we have close relationships. Classes will have activities and lessons in their morning meetings that will take the place of the traditional card exchange and parties. No need to send anything in from home, we will handle it all in-house.
