Weekly Update

Week of May 3, 2021

5/7	We have music.

WORD WORK: This week our class will be learning about the three sounds that -ed makes in words: /t/, /ed or id/, /d/ such as finished, acted, and yelled. Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns.  Spelling City is ready for students to access the Unit 20 practice list for the week.  

NWEA: This week our 2nd graders will be taking the math portion of NWEA over a span of a few days.  There is really nothing that needs to happen from home besides the usual good night’s rest and encouragement to try his or her best each day.  Let us know if you have any questions.

WATER: Please remember our drinking fountains are not accessible so children should bring a water bottle each day.  With the change in weather coming, children are thirsty after recess. Thank you for the help.

SUPPLIES: Recently a parent asked if we needed any supplies. As we near the end of the year, we could use some wipes and rolls of paper towels. Thank you so much for the help.
