Weekly Update

Week of May 10, 2021

It was a wonderful Teacher Appreciation Week.  I would like to thank everyone for your thoughtfulness and making me feel very special not just during this week but all year long.

WORD WORK: This week our class will be learning about adding -ed and -ing endings to words.   Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns.  Spelling City is ready for students to access the Unit 22 practice list for the week.  

BOOK ORDER:  It’s a great time to stock up on books for summer.  We have two opportunities to do that.  One is our virtual book fair through Forever Books at this link.   The other option is to visit our class Scholastic page.  I will be sending the paper copy on Tuesday.   The order for Scholastic will be due on May 18th. Let me know if you have any questions.  Thank you!

NWEA: This week we will be finishing up NWEA testing in both reading and math.  Let us know if you have any questions.

WATER: Please remember our drinking fountains are not accessible so children should bring a water bottle each day.  With the change in weather coming, children are thirsty after recess. Thank you for the help.
