Weekly Update
September 14, 2020
Thank you! Thank you so much for the generous contribution of supplies to our classroom. I understand that some of these items are difficult to find and appreciate your donation.
Class Video: This week the children helped put together a video. They introduced themselves and share what they are looking forward to this school year. I will email the video out to the emails I have listed from PowerSchool.
Nightly Reading: Students are expected to read every night for 15 min.
Back to School Night: Back to School information will be shared with you on September 21, 2020 through our classroom blogs. Please know you may contact me by email anytime.
Getting to Know You: On Wednesday, you received a survey in your email asking you to share information about your child. Please complete the survey by Tuesday, September 15th. This information helps me get to know your child better. Thank you.
Remote Learning Day Friday, Sept. 18th
This coming Friday, we will meet as a class via Hangouts from 10:00 - 10:23 a.m. We want to make sure students are able to connect with us if the need to meet remotely arises. Please let me know if your child will not be able to join us for this important connection.
Students will be learning how to log in to their Google Classroom on Wednesday and Thursday this week. Below are the directions for logging into our Classroom just for your information.
Join Google Classroom
Directions:
1. Using your internet browser (Google Chrome will work best) go to classroom.google.com
2. You must be logged in to your child’s ID # @stjoebears.com account in order to access our Classroom. Click “sign in” in the top right corner. (If you are signed in to another Gmail account you will need to sign out and log in using stjoebears credentials).
3. Once you are logged in and on the classroom.google.com site, click the “+” in the top right hand side of the screen.
4. Select “Join Class”.
5. Enter the class code which is r3iempb
6. The classroom that you are joined to will now be one screen. The next time you use classroom.google.com this should be the home screen. If you have more than one student using the same device they will need to switch users to view their Classroom.
