Weekly Update

Week of May 24, 2021

 

1  5/24	We have Media Center.
1  5/25	We have S.E.L. and Math Center.
5/26	We have gym.
5/27	We have art.
5/28	We have music.

WORD WORK: This week our class will be learning about adding suffix endings -er and -est to words as in the words big, bigger, biggest.  Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns.  Spelling City is ready for students to access the Unit 24 practice list for the week.  

WOW OUR LAST WEEK OF 5 FULL DAYS:  It is amazing to think this is our last full week of 5 full days. The end of the year is coming so quickly.  Thank you so much for your support in helping your children stay focused on working hard and monitoring their behavior.  We appreciate your help.

WALKING FIELD TRIP:  Our second graders will be walking to Kiwanis Park to have an afternoon of fun with their peers on Thursday, June 3rd.  We are saddened we cannot share this time with families due to restrictions and the safety of our students and families.  I will be sure to take lots of pictures and share them

Please make sure your child dresses for the weather, wears good walking shoes (no sandals, please) and applies sunscreen.
