Weekly Update

Week of May 31, 2021

 

1  5/31	NO SCHOOL - Memorial Day
1  6/1	We have S.E.L. and Math Center.
6/2	We have gym.
6/3	We have art.
6/4	We have music.

WORD WORK: This week our class will be learning about adding the prefix un- to words as in the words unhappy, undone, and unfair.  Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns.  Spelling City is ready for students to access the Unit 27 practice list for the week.  

WALKING FIELD TRIP:  Our second graders will be walking to Kiwanis Park to have an afternoon of fun with their peers on Thursday, June 3rd.  We are saddened we cannot share this time with families due to restrictions and the safety of our students and families.  We are hopeful next year will be different.

Please make sure your child dresses for the weather, wears good walking shoes (no sandals, please) and applies sunscreen.

DEVICE, CASE, & CHARGER RETURN: Please have all computers, cases, and chargers returned to school by June 4th.  This will allow for inspection, cleaning, and check-in.  Let us know if you have any questions.
