Weekly Update

Week of Dec. 7, 2020 

12/7	We have Media Center.    Homework:  Practice for math center and read your word list
12/8	We have Math Center and SEL.
12/9	We have gym.
12/10	We have art.
12/11	We have music.

Word Work: Our class will be learning about the r-controlled syllable pattern -ar this week. The following words are examples of this pattern:car, start, artist, and market. Students should read their word lists, discuss the meaning of the words, and practice spelling words with similar syllable patterns. Spelling City is ready for students to access the practice list for the week.

SeeSaw: Our second grade classes began using SeeSaw last week.  We will also be using it for home learning at times.  A letter with your childś home learning code will be sent home this week. Please allow your child to use his or her school issue computer to sign in with the Home Learning code following the steps below: 

1. Go to https://web.seesaw.me on a computer.  They can access this on the Lincoln Symbaloo.

2. Tap “I’m a Student”. 

3. Scan or type in your Home Learning code(coming home on Monday). 

4. Remember, this code is like a password. Keep it safe!

Winter Party Help:  Sadly, we will not be able to have parent volunteers at our Winter Party on Friday, Dec. 18th.  Our class will enjoy a treat(very similar to Halloween), drink, craft, and other fun activities during the day with your help.  Please click on the link below if you are able to help send in items for our Winter Party on December 18th
